    Hotkeys and keyboard shortcuts

    Use Tab, Cmd+Enter, and Cmd+Shift+P to improve prompts, apply results, and open the extension popup — and customize shortcuts in Settings.

    You can use Pretty Prompt with keyboard shortcuts to work faster and stay in flow. Your prompts, your way.

    Shortcuts

    Open the extension popup from any websiteCmd + Shift + PCtrl + Shift + P
    • Press Tab while your cursor is in a supported AI tool's prompt box to run Improve.
    • Press Cmd + Enter (or Ctrl + Enter) to apply the improved prompt into the chat input.
    • Press Cmd + Shift + P (or Ctrl + Shift + P) from any page to open the extension popup — useful when you're not on a supported site or want to edit outside the chat box.

    Customize or enable/disable shortcuts

    You can turn shortcuts off or remap them in the extension settings:

    1. Open the extension popup — click the Pretty Prompt icon in your browser toolbar, or press Cmd + Shift + P (Ctrl + Shift + P on Windows/Linux).
    2. Click the three dots in the top-right corner.
    3. Choose Settings.
    4. Scroll to Keyboard Settings.
    5. Adjust the shortcuts to match how you work.

    Changes apply immediately in the extension.
